Mastering perfect swing shots needs constant practice and perfection.

Golf instruction videos are handy aids to fine tune your golf game and to know about the correct mechanics behind a perfect swing shot. Here are some tips, which would be useful for any golfer in making some of the greatest swing shots.

  • Make a smooth shift: A perfect upswing well complemented by a smooth transition into a downswing makes a perfect swing shot. Many golfers tend to make a violent and wild downswing often missing the target. The top swing should smoothly lead to the downswing without any jerky hand movements. All that the golfers need to do is to play freely to make solid contact and to grab a few great puts. There should be brief pause at the top of your backswing just before starting the downswing instead of making a huge downswing soon after the upward movement.
  • Hit low into the wind: While playing in windy conditions it is sensible to make low and controlled shots instead of hitting the ball harder as the ball might spin out of control. Take a few strides back and stretch your hands forward to make an easy swing to make good use of the breeze.
  • Shift the body weight on to the right: While making a backswing, keep the weight on the inside of the right foot, and keep the knee in a flexed position. This ensures maximum aggression to hit the ball powerfully.
  • Use the whole body power to make great shots: Remember, golf is not a wrist game. To make a great swing shot you need to use the power of the whole body, especially the huge muscles of the legs and trunk. Many new players tend to use more of their wrists thereby ending up making feeble shots.
  • Ensure poise to make a good swing shot: A perfect rhythm and poise are crucial for your golf swing. During practice shots, try to keep your feet nearby, which ensures better balance and rhythm that would be useful while hitting from your normal posture as well.
  • Swing all through the ball: Effective swing shots extend through the ball after hitting it. Any new player can easily practice this style by keeping a tee a few inches away from the ball and by hitting the tee while making the shot, which ensure a full length swing that does not abruptly end at the ball.
  • Have a firm grip: Holding the golf club firmly is crucial in making a perfect swing. The golf club should be held firmly but never too tight. You can hold the club in any position that suits you best. Fold your right hand over the left thumb. This overlapping grip is the most popular style while people with small hands find interlocking grip much more convenient.

Last but not the least; keep your eye open to new techniques in improving the swing shot. This useful golf clip would help you to pick up useful tips on swing movement and to fine tune your shots of golf, one of the exciting games on planet earth.

  2. Great info- just to add another thing that I am constantly working on- head position. What do you think is the best head position for swing shots?

  3. I’m trying to improve my stance so that my swing will be better. It just doesn’t seem comfortable, to stand in the way that is necessary to get that full swing and proper swing.
